Around the world in 80 days

Nicolekiss has been planning to go around the world for two years. Feel like doing it myself but nah.... money is more important to me right now. need to pay my bills, cars, house. Thank God i have a secure job. The thought of no money (not poor) makes me shiver.

It was ok to ask for money when you are a kid or studying. But there comes a point in your life that you feel that you are the one who should give money to your parents and not asking money from them. Perhaps the peter pan side of me had already grown up.

But the fun and excitement of thinking where you will be going next seems well..... fun And it smells like freedom to me. *sigh*

But it's ok, while i'm doing my job like crazy right now, i know that my work will make me earn a good life. i'm planning to buy a new house, a new car, paying my ptptn. (urgh). i know it sounds boring, but i will try to travel at least twice a year. So i'm pretty happy with my life actually. I can travel AND i can earn money for a living. Why choose either one when you can have both?

My next travel destination: Bali or Thailand? or maybe europe???

The North City

First time went to overseas during winter season. Used to angan-angan wearing the winter clothes like the Winter Sonata drama. Heh, i even bought a SHOCKING PINK gloves and i didn't even like pink. I'm not sure where to start, so many things to show and talk about. Well, i'll show you the pro and cons of being in beijing.

Pro:
  • nice weather- i mean they have four season. not like us- hujan dan panas sepanjang tahun (from my geography form3 textbook)

  • fastantic ancient civilisations- chinese are smart, determined

  • all the place are mostly beautiful and scenic

  • nice sense fashion- the clothes sold at the pasar or shopping complex are funky

Cons:

  • the people are rude. well not all... but taking in consideration that i am communicating in mandarin. i don't know what will happen to those who don't speak chinese.

  • the food argh... the food..... no offence i like chinese food. but eating in everyday makes me crazy. Malaysia's food is still the best. Fo once will should thank god we are mix culture if not we will never taste teh tarik etc.

  • the worst kopi ais/kopi nai ping ever- even the milo uargh...

  • because they ONLY drink chinese tea

p/s: oklah my mandarin was not really that good. The pronouciation was quite different from us in malaysia & singapore. On the second day, i can already speak like some taiwan drama. Ok... pictures.......

At first sight you will think that this is a temple. but it's not. this is a mosque called niu jie.

The great wall of china was HUGE. The stairs are HUGE. My stamina= not HUGE.

this is cow. chinese like to eat cow. this cow was actually found at the bottom of the pond at summer palace. The king gave it to god to ensure that the place will not be flooded.

check out the ice on the pond! Summer palace is the official garden, taman for the king and quuen during those days. no one could enter it.

First Impression

For two years that i had been working, i finally learn some tips on how to make a first good impression. When people get to know you, and before they realize whether you had substance or not, they will look at your attire first. First, i mean first impression always count, because that is the way they will perceived you. That is the way they will evaluate you. It is some sort like photographic memory.

so let me introduce you my most basic essential needs in the office:

1) Expensive bags + wallet/purse
Well.... you can start of with one bag first. In could be coach, LV, adidos, frada. Your choice. But you only need to buy one. For instance, i bought a bonia watch for my father and ehem-ehem that cost about RM3000. so i was given a free membership for 2 years. I was entitled for 20% discount on any item in Bonia plus a 10% discount on value item. See? i can buy it with cheaper price. Go for 70% discount that you can get especially during christmas season. it is still expensive like RM100+ but i tell you it's worth it.

2)Court shoes. Nothing beats a black court shoes. remember The Devil Wears Prada. People will look at your shoes. And when it happens i bet you don't want to wear some toilet slipers

3)pen and notebook

When your boss are giving you jobs to do. Write it down. thrust me you won't remember what he/she said after that. because either

a) you're busy looking at his tie wondering why it doesn't match his shirt or

b) you probably wondering how the hell did he had 3 wives. (He's not even good looking)

c)wondering why your boss hasn't marry yet. (he is so good looking, kind and rich) either he is fussy or he's a gay. (true story)

d) or you hate him so much for giving you ridiculous job you feel like punching his face

4)thumb drive- fast, convenient, anywhere, everywhere

5) lip balm with oil blotters

my face is oily and sensitive. (bad combination). so as long as it's not shiny, it's fine with me. and lip balm to keep my lips ooh so moist and sexy (yeah right....). i know you can get some compact powder etc. but this is basic stuff.

6) lotion for your hands. it's small so you can fit it in your handbag. you don't want to shake hands with other people and they thought you are a gardener. And it smells nice.....

ok i'm tired. got to go!

chicks rule!

arr..... so cute....... if i had not eaten it this chicks might be twins

***********************************************************************************

i may not afford a benz, or bmw. but it's ok because i am going to have this for FREE! Yes FREE!
and the exact same colour. Can't wait, can't wait! Jumping around, throws confetti in the air.

The devil wears FRADA

Watch devil wears prada yesterday, interesting story indeed due to the fact that i chuck the book after reading 1/4 of it. Well when i borrowed that book it was irrelevant to me, i was still studying at that time.

but now, everything make sense to me, the boss from hell, who usually wears prada, or your boss who happens to be a woman . trust me even a woman doesn't want a female boss.

someday i might do the same thing, just walk off. I didn't want a 9-5 job. i always wanted to be in the makan business. because i like to cook. and i don't expect to have thousand of franchise across the world, i don't expect myself to be a millionaire. i just want a nice cafe who serve good food. You know like those outdoor cafe in france, people sit around and relax. enjoying some good food.

so my job now is ok, the pay was ok, i can have my weekend off, no one will care if you go back home on time. You bet i will do it someday (resign). but not now, not yet.
p/s: emily blunt is michael buble 's girlfriend. grr. jealous.....
